Advanced Guardian ad Litem Training

Online training process:

  1. Register online
  2. Select one of the training modules below
  3. Complete all steps
  4. When you have completed all parts of the training module, complete the GAL Advanced Online Training Completion Form and fax or mail it to Elsbeth Pelter.
  5. As soon as we receive your completed form your name will be added to the Supreme Court’s list of GALs with completed advanced training.



Training Module One:

  1. Watch: Dr. Lott's Presentation: Visitation for Children Placed Out of Home: Goals, Objectives and Strategies
  2. Read: Visitation with Infants and Toddlers in Foster Care: What Judges and Attorney's Need to Know


Training Module Two:

  1. Watch at least three hours of the following presentations:

  3. Read: Mental and Physical Conditions.
